Assessed Valuation Specialists LLC was formed in 2017 to offer valuation and consulting services to local governments in Nevada.  AVS’s founder Josh Wilson brings over 30 years of local government experience in Nevada and has been a certified real and personal property appraiser since 1999.  He held several appraisal positions in the assessor’s office before serving as the elected Washoe County Assessor from 2007 – 2014.  During his tenure Josh gained extensive knowledge of Nevada’s unique property assessment system through overseeing daily operations and participating in the legislative and regulatory hearings before the Nevada Legislature and Tax Commission.  Josh has served as both President and Vice-President of the Nevada Assessors’ Association and chaired their Legislative and Regulatory committees over a number of years.
